Life doesn’t get any better when you’re invited to judge a Beard Competition. Seriously. What more could a girl (with a bit of a beard habit) ask for? This gift was handed to me by the charming, Andy Teague (chief Beard of the Wessex Beardsmen – the South Western thatch of the British Beard Club) for their second Beard and Moustache Competition held in Yoevil, Dorset.
So I was more than happy to set off on the 18th April to see the finest facial hair Dorset had to offer……and it didn’t disappoint.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day and a more friendly crowd. We bore witness to a marriage proposal and fondled/judged around 100 beards throughout the day (all for a fabulous cause, Mind).
We were delighted to catch up with some familiar faces and make new friends along the way. We ate, drank, and got thoroughly merry and then made our way back with heavy hearts to the big smoke to contemplate our day.
